Bermuda Grass is typically the best choice for the extreme temperatures in Arizona during the Summer. There are a variety of types of :Bermuda grass including hulled and un-hulled, essentially the main difference is the germination speed. We typically like to provide both un-hulled along with hulled seeds to ensure a beautiful and thick lawn, that is able to come to life quickly and fully.

Planting Bermuda grass done right is simple, however - you need professionals to ensure you seed and cross seed appropriately.

We offer additional services as well to ensure you have a beautiful green lawn. Nutrients such as Nitrogen and other products allow your lawn to come to life. This is typically what is used when you see such beautiful and green lawns in Arizona.

Ensuring you water appropriately is also extremely important - ensuring your watering levels are correct for the time of year in Arizona is extremely important as well for both summer Bermuda grass and others.

When planting summer grass, you first need to de-thatch the areas. This occurs when your winter grass has ended its cycle and died. We properly de-thatch the area to ensure your yard and is ready for the new grass planting.

Knowing the fundamentals to aerate your lawn and properly seed is essential to a healthy full lawn.

Initially when seed is planted, you need to water several short times during each day (around 5 times daily). Later you can reduce the watering to 2 times daily, and then often times once a day. Ultimately providing a beautiful and healthy lawn until late fall when temperatures drop below 70 degrees.

Seeding Your Summer Lawn

We will have a similar process to deploying your Summer lawn. We will aerate the area, use some fertilizer. This provides the seed mix the ability to properly germinate. You will start seeing grass germinate in 5-10 days initially from the hulled seeds, and then the un-hulled seeds will make your lawn thick up until 3 weeks from initial planting. These seeds won't germinate until temperatures are above 65°F (during the evening). We can notify you of the proper time to plant your lawn, and if you use our regular maintenance services we will handle this for you completely.
